“By expressing themselves through the social and artistic expressions of various cultures, children gain invaluable understanding and connection to the world around them.”

Summers sun kissed my early self on the beaches and temperate forests of Cape Cod. Hundreds of thousands of visitors planted the seeds of wonder and excitement while solemn winters fueled by silent introspection, allowed these seeds to develop into true individuality and a passion for people and the world. I left the Cape to pursue a B.S. in music industry from Northeastern University. During this time I molded my degree to encompass my many affinities. I studied music, sociology, history, philosophy and business in the classroom; maintained cooking positions at various restaurants as full-time employment; and volunteered around Boston at various organizations with children and underrepresented communities. Other passions I have maintained are creative writing, poetry, meditation, world travel and the outdoors. I graduated from Northeastern in May of 2006 and began my work with WCCC last fall. It was a wonderful experience rotating through the programs as a cultural art specialist and I look forward to continuing to connect kids to as many wonders and forms of expression as I can.

Hi! This will be my 4th year with WCCC. In my first 2 years, I was a teacher at the Schofield site. Last year, for the 2020-2021 school year, I was a classroom teacher at our Kindergarten program. I am so excited to be the new Schofield site coordinator this year! I have received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. I love being able to do a variety of activities from art to STEM to gym games with all the children. In my time outside of WCCC, I love to go on vacation to Maine, spend time with my friends and family, and cheer on my favorite Boston sports teams! I am looking forward to getting to know you and your children this year!

I am a new float teacher at WCCC. I am currently finishing my bachelors in Early Childhood Education at Fisher College, and have been working in the field for about fifteen years. I have a wide range of experience working with all ages, and I have a two year old son of my own named Brady. I have a passion for working with children, and early development has always fascinated me. I am so excited to begin my journey here, and join the WCCC community. As an educator, my main goal is to provide each family with a fun, exciting and educational environment for their child to nurture a love for learning, and I am looking forward to watching each child learn, grow, and explore the world around them.
